Purpose: Retrieve or update contact persons associated with specific contact entities.

This workflow is generally used alongside workflows updating customer/supplier company entities, where the contact person information need to be updated to Go or retreived from Go by an integrated application.

A contact person is a sub entity of a specific contact, and do not exist globally in Go. Note that contact persons are not relevant for employee contacts, or more precisely parent contact entities defined as persons. Only company contacs will display the contact person tab in the GUI)

Regardless of the direction of the data flow, we highly recommend that the integrating party store the Id's of the PowerOffice objects. In general, the id's of all the various PowerOffice entities are the preferred mapping key, as they are uniquely assigned by the system and cannot be changed.

Description of core flow

Synchronize to Go:

  1. Check whether the contact person already exists in Go for the given contact

  2. Create or update information

Synchronize from Go

  1. Check if there are any new or newly updated contact persons in Go

  2. Retrieve the desired fields and information

Prerequisites

  • Access to the ContactGroups access privelige

  • Access to relevant contacts (customers or suppliers)

  • The client need at least one active subscription of a PowerOffice Go module
